FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 21, 2011) – Gov. Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifice of a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

According to the Department of Defense, Spc. Joshua T. Lancaster, 22, of Millbrook, Ala., died Jan. 19, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked the Kandahar airfield with indirect fire.  He was assigned to the 184th Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
