FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 16, 2014) – Governor Steve Beshear today recognized the sacrifices of two Fort Campbell soldiers who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Staff Sgt. Studenmund, 24, of Pasadena, California; and Staff Sgt. McDonald, 28, of Butler, Georgia; were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell.

The federal government gave Kentucky grants of $5.3 million dollars for broadband mapping and outreach. On Tuesday, the first installment of outreach was made in the basement of the Fulton Public Library.
