New Murray State President Bob Davies will be in Clinton at 10:00 a.m. at the Senior Citizen Center on August 1st to dedicate a new e-learning center.

GRIMES BREAKS KENTUCKY FUNDRAISING RECORD:
RAISES OVER $4 MILLION IN SECOND QUARTER

Jack Conway and running mate Sannie Overly took in over $750,000 in the seven weeks since May 6th, when they became a slate to run for governor and lieutenant governor. They also picked up endorsements from Crit Luallen, former Governor Wendell Ford and Congressman John Yarmuth.

Pundits wondered at the time of the announcement if Conway’s early start in the governor’s race would hurt Alison Lundergan Grimes’ fundraising efforts. Grimes just announced that in the second reported quarter her campaign raised $4 million dollars. That’s one million dollars more than her opponent’s $3 million.
