COMMUNITY SUPPORT – Lowes Elementary School recently presented one of its students with a $3,000 check. The proceeds came from a benefit auction for which each grade at the school produced a unique item for sale. The money will help Ciara Stanley, a Lowes sixth grader who has bone cancer.
She’s pictured here with her principal, Cheryl Goodman, and several classmates. “Ciara is very special to us,” Goodman said, “and it was a privilege and an honor for our Lowes family to help her and her family in some small way.” Additionally, the Lowes sixth grade earned approximately $2,500 through its pancake breakfast and a separate auction held the same day for a class trip.
