MURRAY, Ky. — The Murray State University Center for Continuing Education and Academic Outreach will be offering a free Computer Lab for Senior Citizens course this fall.

The course, CSC 100, will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-5:50 p.m. beginning Oct. 12. Class meetings will be held in Room 306 of the Lowry Center on campus, and will run nine weeks, concluding Dec. 7.

Senior citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, which will teach the fundamentals of computer science. Basics in keyboarding, program use, and internet browsing will be taught, along with other skills.

Enrollment in the class is free of charge for seniors 65 and older who are residents of Kentucky. This includes the initial course fee, application fee and a long-term visitor pass for student use. Seniors may also enjoy the benefits of an MSU RacerCard ID for only $12.50. Benefits include free access to library services, athletic events and MSU theatre programs.

The Murray State University Center for Continuing Education and Academic Outreach was created to provide educational opportunities for students and the community beyond the classroom. Computer Lab for Senior Citizens is designed specifically for those with little technological experience in hopes that seniors will benefit from the course.

For questions regarding the course or to enroll, contact Bonita Hale or Dan Lavit at (270) 809-4150.
