GRAVES NATIONAL HONOR ORCHESTRA PARTICIPANT – Graves County High School senior bassist Clay Burgess has been named to the 2011 National Honor Orchestra, sponsored by Music for All.

According to the organization, “The audition performances were evaluated by members of applied music faculty at some of our country’s leading universities. The level of artistry of all of the students was extremely high, and the final decisions for membership were very difficult. We applaud you for your commitment to excellence as evidenced by your audition recording.”

GCHS orchestra director Laura Hill said, “Clay will travel to Indianapolis, Ind., in March to perform with some of the nation’s top high school musicians. We are quite proud of him!”
