Fulton Fire Department stays busy with car accident and truck fire

Louis B. Reyna lost controlMonday, May 30, 2011 - The Fulton Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance Service (TCAS) responded to a one vehicle automobile accident on Hwy. 166, (Middle Rd.) west of Myatt Road. Louis B. Reyna of Hickman, KY. was traveling West in his 2003 VW Jetta when he apparently lost control of the vehicle.

According to a witness the vehicle left the road on the north side, flipped completely over twice and landed upright in the corn field. Louis Reyna was able to exit the vehicle and suffered no apparent injuries. He was evaluated on the scene by personnel from the TCAS and did not require treatment or transport.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident.

 

John Curry's truck was a total lossTuesday, May 31, 2011, 5:33 PM –  The Fulton Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request from the Water Valley Fire Department for a truck on fire at the intersection of Hwy. 129 (East State Line) and Hwy 1218. 

John Curry of Fulton, KY. stated that he was driving down the highway in his 1998 Ford Ranger when he noticed flame coming out of the bottom of his dashboard near the floor.  He pulled off of the highway, got out of the vehicle and called 911. Firefighters from Fulton and Water Valley extinguished the flame but the truck was a total loss.

There were no reported injuries.
