New assistant principal at Paducah Middle Allene Houston Jones

(Paducah KY - August 5, 2014) - Allene Houston Jones has been selected as assistant principal at Paducah Middle School.

"We are extremely pleased that Mrs. Houston Jones is joining our team at Paducah Middle. Her experience and proven track record will be an asset to our school," said Overlin.

Houston Jones has 20 years of education experience with ten years as principal at Cairo Elementary in Cairo, Illinois.

After graduating from Ballard Memorial High School in 1989, Houston Jones earned a B.S. in Elementary from Murray State University in 1993 and earned her Master’s degree in Administration from MSU in 2000.

Houston Jones is currently enrolled in the Curriculum and Instruction PhD program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

She is a member of Epsilon Lambda Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and currently serves as president of the chapter in Cairo.

She is a member of Delta Kappa Pi (Delta Chi Chapter at SIU-Carbondale). Delta Kappa Pi is an international honor society in education.

Mrs. Houston Jones has been a member of the Delta Center of Cairo Board of Directors for ten years
