Debate's Back On
"Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) ended three days of suspense on Friday morning and announced that he will leave bailout negotiations in Washington and fly to Oxford, Miss., for tonight's opening presidential debate."

There has been no resolution of the financial crisis. Wall Street seems to be confident that Congress will do something so they're happy little campers at the moment. Washington Mutual, world's worst junk mailer, was bought out by J. P. Morgan after the feds shut them down. (Does anyone wonder about the timing of that move?)

Sen. Mitch McConnell looked like his chin had disappeared completely yesterday at the WH photo op.  Sen. Bunning has gotten more air time in the last week than he had gotten in the last two terms.

Conservatives in the House are thumbing their noses at the Commander in Chief, despite the fact that the Enforcer in Chief, Dick Cheney, is staying in Washington this weekend.  (Note to hold outs - when he offers a great hunting experience, turn him down.)

The world's gone mad. Ain't it cool?
